The theme will be “Rooted and Built Up in Jesus Christ, Firm in the Faith”(cf Col 2:7). 38 young people from across the Pastoral Area came to our launch evening for the World Youth Day 2011 Pilgrimage and we also had some apologies from people who could not make that particular night. So we are off to a good start and shall be organising various fundraising activities between now and August 2011 to help reduce the costs of the pilgrimage - any ideas welcomed! PLANNED ACTIVITIES over the next few months... Retreat day in Farleigh School in Andover on 29th May from 10:30am -5:30pm: This is a team building day to have have fun, reflect and compete! WYD Leaders meeting: A meeting for all the leaders across the Diocese planing the pilgrimage towards Madrid. It will be held at St Joseph's hall in Basingstoke, on 9th June from 7:30-9:00pm Car wash fundraising on the 13th June during both masses (9am and 11am) at St Joseph's car park in Basingstoke. Diocesan Participant's Meeting: A day to get to know all the young people from across the Diocese wanting to go to Madrid next year. This will be held on the 27th June at St Josephs's Church in Tilehurst Reading from 2:00pm-5:00pm Ladies Choir concert: a fundraising event for WYD. The concert will be held at St Josephs's Church on the 10th July. More info nearer the time. 20th October, (ONLY for Adult leaders) Safeguarding training from 7:30pm-9:00pm at St Joseph's hall, Basingstoke.	Pizza Ponder and Prayer sessions at St Joseph's, Basingstoke Starting on Sunday 28th February at St Joseph's from 5:00pm -6:30pm
